Scaling the Secular City 8: Four Final Issues


Moreland covers a few claims against Christianity. He starts with the claim that God does not exist because he cannot be seen. This one is easy to respond to. Next is the claim that God is just a psychological projection. Without evidence, this is hard to defend, but Moreland goes so far as to say that atheism is more likely to be a projection. How is that? Next Moreland spends a lot of time on religious experience, which seems similar to the arguments from Letters to a Doubting Thomas. Still worth thinking about. Lastly Moreland addresses relativism in ethics. Although I agree, Moreland seems to define morality a certain way, and then call other systems false because they don’t define morality as he does. Barely an argument there.
