Arguing for Atheism 7: Is there a problem of evil?

Good summary of the problem of evil. Primarily addresses the free will defenses, and frames it as the only defense against the problem of evil. Le Poidevin shows that compatibilist free will does not allow a theist to escape the problem of evil, since God could make our natures and desires sinless and not affect free will. He says that using libertarian free will to escape the problem leads to other problems, like how God could cause a decision to be uncaused. He also says that the theistic belief that God helps us to what is right conflicts with the libertarian answer.
