Daylight Atheism 2: A Book of Blood

Answers the objection that the evils done by or in the name of religion are a twisting of what is at it’s core a good thing by looking at the God described in Bible.

Lee provides many examples of what seem to be inexcusable passages promoting genocide, sexual slavery, and infanticide in the Old Testament. He then goes on to point out that even in the New Testament, the hell described by Jesus is one incompatible with any good God.

While this may paint a dark picture of Christianity, isn’t Lee’s target religion as a whole? The Abrahamic faiths, while significant, are just a few among religions that vary greatly. Further, Is Lee really making his case well enough that as a whole, religion is harmful?
